Gannin’ Alang the Wall: The Real Route of Hadrian's Wall from Segedunum through Central Newcastle.
Thursday 21st July 6.30pm
A FREE Lit & Phil Live Event
Re-live the grandeur that was Rome in the context of present-day Newcastle upon Tyne! This locally-made 30 minute film uses real archaeology, serious history, personal testaments from people living on the route of the wall and a good dash of infectious silliness to track the route the Wall took through the city. There will be introductions and a chance to discuss the film (and the Wall) informally with its director Judith Green, narrator Gail-Nina Anderson, Bill Griffiths, Head of Programmes and Collections from Tyne & Wear Archives and Museums and David Silk, Learning Officer from Newcastle
Castle (and part-time Barbarian.)
(If you would prefer to book directly over the phone, please call the Library Desk team on 0191 232 0192 and they will be happy to help)
There is no set ticket price for this event, but if you would like to make a small donation to support the good work of The Lit & Phil we would be very grateful. Click the link above to donate via Paypal.
