Friday 17th October | 1pm

ADRIAN COX TRIO

Adrian Cox (clarinet), Alex ‘Honey’ Boulton (guitar) and Alex Gilson (double bass).

JAZZ AT THE LIT & PHIL @ NEWCASTLE ARTS CENTRE

A charismatic, dynamic performer, Adrian Cox is an authority on the clarinet masters of New Orleans. A professional musician from the age of fifteen, for the last twenty five years clarinettist Cox has toured worldwide, appearing at innumerable jazz clubs, festivals and concert halls, including Buxton Opera House, the Barbican Centre, Ronnie Scott’s and Soho Pizza Express (London) and Jazz at Lincoln Center (New York). Cox has released several albums, most recently Makin’ Runs (a 2024 EP).

Cox, Alex ‘Honey’ Boulton (guitar) and Alex Gilson (double bass) will perform compositions by or associated with several legendary clarinettists (Sindey Bechet, Edmond Hall, Jimmie Noone and others). It is likely this Newcastle concert will sell out in record time!

Please note, this Jazz at the Lit & Phil concert will take place at Newcastle Arts Centre.
