Lunchtime Jazz: Jo Harrop & Jamie McCredie £5

Sharing a love of jazz, blues & timeless tunes Jo Harrop & Jamie McCredie were both born in the North East, but didn’t meet until years later in London, when their musical souls entwined.

With Jamie’s dynamic, blues-jazz guitar playing perfectly complimenting Jo’s smokey, velvet voice, their repertoire is a journey of swinging jazz standards, soulful blues & a hint of folk.

Both virtuosic their own right, in combination their skill lies in putting the story & the music front and centre at all times. Focusing on the intimate, and drawing out the heart of each song.

Expect well loved pieces and hidden gems from the catalogues of Tony Bennett & Bill Evans, Joe Pass & Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday & Oscar Peterson, Julie London & Barney Kessel, Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson,  Chet Baker, Michel Legrand, McCoy Tyner, Antonio Jobim & Astrid Gilberto amongst others…

“Harrop & McCredie’s ability to connect with the room through their music was a special thing” Blues & Soul

Listen to a track from their forthcoming album on Spotify via the album page.
