The Art of Edward Burne-Jones, with Gail-Nina Anderson 2/3 £4

Designer

Burne-Jones produced some of the most memorable designs made up by the Arts and Crafts firm founded by his close friend William Morris, especially in the fields of stained glass and tapestry. How did his art adapt so readily to these different media?

This is the second in a series of three talks, celebrating the work of Pre-Raphaelite painter Edward Burne-Jones (a major exhibition of whose art is running at Tate Britain, 24th October 2018 –  24th February 2019).

Each talk can be enjoyed separately.

The subsequent lectures are on:

Wednesday 6th February - Mannerist and Myth Maker
