The Art of Edward Burne-Jones, with Gail-Nina Anderson 1/3 £4

Never a member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, how does Burne-Jones’ early work relate to the movement it began or the style and subject-matter it championed?

This is the first in a series of three talks, celebrating the work of Pre-Raphaelite painter Edward Burne-Jones (a major exhibition of whose art is running at Tate Britain, 24th October 2018 –  24th February 2019).

Each talk can be enjoyed separately.

The subsequent lectures are on:

Wednesday 30th January - Designer

Wednesday 6th February - Mannerist and Myth Maker
