British Armoured Cars on the Eastern Front in WWI FREE

In 1916 a British armoured car unit, comprising 500 men and 50 officers, embarked for Russia to fight on the eastern front. They fought with the Russian army on three different fronts, and remained in Russia through the revolution. This talk explores the experiences of these men during Russia’s war and revolution. Charlotte Alston will give an overview of the unit’s experiences in Russia, and Margaret Bozic will draw directly from the diaries of her grandfather, Fred Goodier, who was a member of the unit.
