Book Your Event
Zoe Chen, an artist from Taiwan, would like to invite you to take part in an art project Dream Dictionary. The project takes its name from a very old and famous Chinese book on dreams. People are able to get some information and also warnings about the future by looking up their dreams in this book.
The project offers different ways to think about paper and to break the ‘authority’ and order of a dictionary. It focuses on dreams that are related to paper or things made of paper. It will be personal and symbolic to gain an understanding of how paper influences and engages people in very different ways.
This exhibition can be seen in the Lit & Phil from Friday 17th February until Friday 10th March.
As a member you can borrow most books published after 1850 (but not all at once). You can also access wi-fi in the Library and benefit from priority booking at some events. By joining the Lit & Phil, you are also supporting this wonderful institution, so thank you!
Check if we have that book you've been looking for. You don't need to be a member to search the catalogue; search by title, author, keyword or subject. Members can then reserve the book to collect later.
