Friday 26th September | 1pm

Mihkel Kerem (Violin), Gregory Duggan (cello) and Adam Johnson (Piano).

Mihkel Kerem (Violin) and Adam Johnson (Piano) are also award-winning composers. Along with highly praised Principal cellist Gregory Duggan, the Kerem Trio is unique in it’s members being composers of note as well as performers. Individually the members enjoy a varied professional career which include concerto and chamber music appearances throughout Europe and the UK.

They have performed at major venues around the UK including St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London and are looking forward to a busy 2025 schedule.

Mihkel Kerem is an Estonian composer and violinist, he graduated from Tallinn Music High School in 1999. In 2002 he graduated from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, studying two disciplines: violin and composition. In 2006 he finished his master’s thesis at Royal Music College in London. His works are available on Tocatta records amongst others.

Multi prize-winning pianist Adam Johnson was a Scholar and Junior Fellow at The Royal Northern College of Music UK, studying with Martin Roscoe and performing under the baton of Kent Nagano, Martyn Brabbins, and George Hurst, making his Concerto debut aged 15 playing Mozart Piano Concerto No. 15 at the Glinka Accademia, St. Petersburg, conducting from the piano.

Unique among the outstanding artists of his generation, Johnson is as equally at home conducting opera as he is fulfilling the role of soloist in concerto repertoire, playing chamber music, or directing his own large-scale composition
