The Lit & Phil invites you to come along for the second of its new Morning Conversations. This is an opportunity to discuss some of today’s pressing issues and topics in an informative and relaxed setting. In each Morning Conversation you will hear from an expert on a current issue before breaking into conversation groups to discuss the issue together. This is a great opportunity to learn more and to share ideas in the Lit & Phil’s characteristic spirit of inquiry. All are welcome – whether you are familiar with the topic or would just like to find out more.

In this talk and interactive session, Chris Stokel-Walker, freelance journalist and author of How AI Ate The World, outlines the potential transformative effects of AI – and what, if anything, we need to worry about. Chris specialises in technology. He regularly contributes to the BBC, Washington PostNew York TimesWIREDEconomistGuardianNew Scientist and Newsweek, and appears on the BBC, Sky News, CNN, Al Jazeera, Times Radio and other TV channels and radio stations.
